This is not an estimate per square metre. The calculation distributes each luminaire’s flux according to the optic it actually carries, resolves the light bouncing off ceiling, walls and floor, and evaluates illuminance point by point on the standard grid, leaving out the half-metre band along the walls just as a lighting project does.
Changing the optic, the colour temperature or the chromatic platform recalculates everything. The starting levels are LUMILIGHT’s recommendation for each type of space, and can be adjusted to whatever your project requires.

Accent on the merchandise
The chosen optic falls short of that contrast. A narrower beam or a higher wattage gets there; with this one the product will not stand out as much as intended.
Ambient light does not sell: the accent on the mannequin and the new-arrivals table does. Aim at around 30° from the vertical so the garment gains volume instead of flattening out.
